RAW Artists Showcase Levitate February 2024

Early in February I was invited by Raw Artists Canada to participate in their LEVITATE showcase at Theatre Paradox. This is the second time RAW Artists invited me to participate in their showcase, so naturally I was more prepared. Not only did I have more time to sell tickets, I also barely spent any money on preparations since I already had everything I needed from the last show in terms of packaging material, hooks etc. I had new artwork as well to showcase. All in all, the entire experience was much less stressful than the first time and more seamless. I had all my paintings ready and wrapped and packed a week before the show. When I arrived there, it took me a couple of hours to hang up all my artwork which left me plenty of time to walk around and interact with other artists. This is something I couldn’t do last time as it took at least 3 hours to set up my artwork which did not leave me much time to walk around and view other artists’ work. All in all the show was great, a lot of people were genuinely interested in my art and there were a few favorites like the Botallack Mines acrylic painting, the quadriptych seascape and my still life collection. I even sold a few prints of my watercolor illustration “You are the love of your own life.”
