In July 2023, I was invited to participate in an artist showcase called Manufacture held by RAW Artists Canada, a Canadian organization that represents local artists. This was my first physical art show here in Montreal and it was held at Theatre Paradoxe. I underestimated the amount of preparation needed, from hanging supplies to lighting to packaging and display items, but in the end it was all worth it. The show was a resounding success. It was the first time I got to showcase almost all of my paintings, with friends coming down from New York, Toronto and Ottawa to support me. I also got to talk to many people who were interested in my creative process and to showcase my art and my brand. which is one of the many highlights of the show.

It was also interesting to see which of my paintings appealed the most to people. Naturally art is subjective but the painting that consistently got the most attention was my Botallack Mines, Cornwall acrylic painting, which, strangely enough, was my least favorite of the pieces showcased. However, a lot of people were drawn to the heavy texture of the painting which I achieved with layers and layers of paint. Other favorites were my still life collection and "Long Blue Light" painting.
