I once saw an image of an ammonite fossil and I was captivated by its spirals. This painting is my interpretation of the concept that everything in nature is connected and intertwined, such as the night sky inside the spirals of an ammonite. The painting was created using mostly acrylic paint and soft pastels for the details. It was originally created in the portrait orientation (vertical) but due to the versatile nature of the subject, it can also be displayed in a landscape (horizontal) orientation.
The sides of canvas are painted using the same color palette as the painting. It is signed and dated in the back in order to allow for flexible display and hanging options (vertical or horizontal). It is varnished and will arrive ready to hang.
Keep in mind that all computer monitors display color differently, so your painting may differ slightly in color from the image you see onscreen.
Artwork will be carefully packaged using bubble wrap and cardboard and shipped as fragile item for further protection. Please note that if artwork is being shipped overseas (outside of Canada), there is a chance that it might be kept in customs for a couple of weeks. However, this is a risk with any artwork shipped overseas from Canada and should not pose a problem.
